Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get adjusted on my first visit? Usually, your first adjustment is at your second visit after assessment. Same-day adjustments cost an additional $75.

What should I wear? Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows a full range of motion, such as gym or yoga attire.

Do you take X-rays? We don't have X-ray equipment. If needed, we'll refer you for imaging. X-rays are rarely requested, only for severe cases.

What is the popping sound during an adjustment? Not all adjustments make a sound. When they do, it's just gas releasing in the joint. This is a normal, harmless sign of movement.

What is a subluxation? It's when tension in your spine disrupts nerve communication, causing pain, tightness, or other symptoms.

What is a nervous system-focused chiropractor? We help restore nerve communication for improved function, pain relief, sleep, stress response, energy, and resilience.

What's the difference between BGI and traditional chiropractic? BGI uses light touch, breath, and movement to create gentle changes, unlike force-based adjustments.

Do you take insurance? We are in-network with Kaiser Permanente and Aetna, and are working toward approval with additional major insurance providers. If you have coverage through either of these plans, we can bill your insurance directly. Your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your specific plan, deductible, and coverage details.
For all other insurance plans, we are an out-of-network provider. Prices listed on our site reflect out-of-pocket cash rates. We provide superbills with all applicable diagnostic codes, which you can submit for potential reimbursement. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
We also accept VA benefits and bill directly for authorized services.
For patients 65+, pay at the time of service. Pricing follows the Medicare fee schedule. We don't bill Medicare, but provide superbills for self-submission.

Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy? Yes. Special pillows are used for comfort. Care supports positioning, eases discomfort, and helps with body changes. Ongoing care includes a complimentary newborn adjustment.

Why bring your child to a chiropractor? Early stress affects a child's spine and nerves. Check-ups from birth support alignment and resilience.

Do I have to come forever? No. We don't pressure ongoing care. Many choose wellness care for long-term benefits, while others complete care and check in as needed.

Do you offer home guidance? Yes. We provide resources, movement, breathwork, and instruction to help between visits.

What happens if I've been away from care for a while? If away for 6+ months, we start with a $150 Re-Start Exam to update your care plan.

What if I'm feeling sick? Use your judgment and contact us if you are unwell. We'll help decide the best course.
